Today the focus was on art and culture:We visited the "Great Worpswede Art Show". There you can see and experience some important works by the old Worpswede painters together with contemporary art. The museum comes highly recommended! Our way also led us to the Weyerberg. On its western slope is the Lower Saxony stone created by the architect Bernhard Hoetger as a memorial to the soldiers who fell in World War I. He looked very bleak and gave the impression that he was about to fall over. The construction fences on the sides and on the back, plus many remnants of drinking bouts, do not really upgrade the building ...Pity! This work of art also deserves to be preserved. And well, the necessary visits to Rossmann and Aldi were not cultural highlights, but in the summer heat the shops offered a pleasant cooling off ...
Hello Ute, again a wonderful little cultural walk through beautiful Worpswede. When I was at the Niedersachsenstein's in December, everything looked very well-mannered. But it's definitely a very strange (and yes, controversial) piece of art. Little Klugsche… comment: the one who laughs so nicely is the bigwig of humor… .🤩👁🗨📷🔝👏

Hello Burkhard, thank you very much! Yes, from the recordings of your Worpswede circuit in winter, I thought I had seen the Niedersachsenstein in better condition ...The bigwig was still sitting in the box and waiting humorous for the summer 😂😂
Ouch ... after reading it wrongly 100 times, I finally corrected "Bronze" to "Bonze".

And I was already wondering after your last comment… aber… but something like that happens again and again, I needed 2 hints and 2 days on my Bollen tour to finally turn the warning word into Mahndorf… .😂🤣😇
