... the South Seas also have their dark side. We experienced it close up today and I can say that this can bring you to madness. But everything from the beginning ...We had a quiet night ... of course we were looking for the eclipse, or father was running around looking for the moon in all available places ... but we did not find it. It was not until the children went to bed around 10:30 pm that he suddenly appeared on the horizon, but completely inconspicuous ... was not really worth it.

The next morning we left early without breakfast. On the one hand, we wanted to get the ferry at 08:35 clock ... on the other hand, we had nothing for breakfast. So offered a breakfast - freshly bought in the net - at the marina in the harbor. Perfectly. We were still unconcerned about what was to come.

The ferry dropped off on time and we were trapped on the ferry for the next 60 minutes. There we saw our problem in the form of weather news on TV. It rolled in the evening a storm front to us. We had planned a long day with almost 70 km and this front should probably capture us appropriately at dinner. Since the messages were relatively reliable, we planned on the ferry and booked a hostel a few miles further. Thanks to the Internet, almost everything is possible today.

But when we started our tour in Svendborg, we quickly realized that someone was against it, namely the wind. We had a gusty headwind. Then 70 km day tour can damn ... damn long. We noticed that after an insane fight we came over the bridges to Langeland and arrived at 14:00 clock in the ferry terminal. The ferry was then at 15:15 on Lolland. So we had 40 km ahead of us. In the wind and the temperatures a thing of impossibility. So what to do ... the hostel was booked and seemed to be at an infinite distance. A search revealed that there was nothing tangible in the area and the storm front approached with certainty.

Lena and I googled what the stuff and the lead gave. After a long search we found a train connection from Naskskov to Maribo, because our hostel is located here. We could not get anything about prices and if any bicycles are taken, rausbekommen. So courage to the gap. We changed our tour and drove 15km to Naskskov. When we reached the station, we were with the nerves at the end, this was empty except for one person, That's as if here for years no train has gone. But it was to be our moment of happiness for the day, because the person was waiting for the train we needed and at the terminal there were even bike tickets to buy. Madness !!

We stayed 21 minutes in Maribo and within 15 minutes in our hostel. After we had shopped for our dinner, the world went down. Since then, a thunderstorm and chills chasing the next. So everything was done right. :-)... yes, yes, the South Seas also have their dark side.

Without such stories you have nothing to tell afterwards 😏
And everything went well and your courage paid off. 👍
