deuter planned a hike.

The Schoorlse Duinen are the highest in the Netherlands and therefore a great place for a challenging walk. Not only do you make the necessary height meters due to the differences in height, you also walk through the soft sand of the dunes and the beach. Enjoy a breath of fresh air on the coast. Your walk starts at the bottom of the famous climbing dune on the edge of the town of Schoorl. So you start right away because you start with a climb of 51 meters. From the top you have a beautiful view of both the village and the dunes. Via winding paths you walk through the dunes and forest towards the beach and sea. You do not immediately cross the beach transition, but stay behind the front row of dunes. Do not miss the viewpoint at about 13 kilometers, the first view of the sea! A little further you go to the beach. Put your feet in the sea, or even take a refreshing dip if you feel like it. After a few kilometers you turn east again and walk in the direction of Groet. Or you can linger a little longer at one of the beach bars. In the village of Groet you walk past the cute and photogenic white church, but soon you dive into the woods and dunes again. At the bird lake you make a short stop on the shore and you have the chance to spot many birds. From there it is another three kilometers of walking before you are back at the climbing dune. Grab a drink on a cozy terrace in Schoorl, or take the bus or car back home.
