This long day tour goes via Livigno through the beautiful Val Viola to Poschiavo. You start the tour at the train station in Pontresina. You roll smoothly over trails and gravel paths to Lago Bianco, where you branch off onto the single trail to Fuorcla Minor. This path has been optimized for bikers again and again in recent years, but it still has a high alpine character. Despite these tweaks, there will be a few passages where you will push your bike.Once at the top of the Fuorcla Minor, you now roll down to the Forcola di Livigno and continue on the Italian side to Livigno. This section is very demanding in parts and exposed in places. If you want to fill up your energy reserves, you have two great places to stop at Forcola di Livigno. Otherwise there are numerous restaurants in Livigno where you can get delicious pizza and pasta.Well strengthened, it then goes from Livigno to Passo d‘Eira and on single trails and road to the beautiful Val Viola. At the Pass da Viola you pass the national border again. A top-class single trail is now following on the Swiss side. At the fork you take the right trail and surf down to Lagh da Viola and on to the picturesque Saoseo Lake. In the further course it goes down again and again on super beautiful single trail sections in the direction of Poschiavo. But don't be too early, there are also a few counter climbs. In Poschiavo you get on the “little red one” at the train station - as the Rhaetian Railway is affectionately known - and return to Pontresina.Tip: If you haven't had enough, you can add a flowing descent and get off at the top of the Bernina Pass. On the great trail, which you already know from the start of the tour, you then jet back to Pontresina.
