The Blasewitz forest park in the Dresden district of the same name is one of the many parks and facilities that make Dresden one of the greenest cities in Europe. It is thanks to the Saxon ministerial official Arthur Willibald Königsheim that in the middle of the 19th century one of the left Elbe woods on the Blasewitzer Flur, which was still barely developed, was redesigned into a forest park. Königsheim achieved that this area could be excluded from the increasing building speculation. This is the starting point for this beautiful circular hike. You walk through the varied park, wander through the adjacent villa district and finally reach the banks of the Elbe. On the right you can already see the Loschwitz Bridge or the “Blue Wonder”, the only bridge in Dresden that, after its opening in 1893, was neither destroyed by the war nor rebuilt or rebuilt. You cross the Elbe on this magnificent monument and hike downstream first to the Loschwitz harbor and then to the three Elbe castles, the Eckberg Castle, the Lingner Castle and the Albrechtsberg Castle, which are located directly next to each other.Past the Waldschlößchenbrücke, continue to the Albertbrücke, on which you cross the Elbe again and hike back. Before you dive back into the city, you have another stunning view of the Saloppe waterworks and the three magnificent Elbe castles on the opposite bank.
