Jürgen & Steffi went mountain biking.

Today we were again in the Kirkler Forest. There everything on the trails is now closed for us bikers.
So, even as a bike tourist, you no longer need to head for this forest to a moderate degree.
I hope that this can be changed again by treating each other with consideration.Tourism is not just about hiking when it comes to biking, the municipalities and the Saar Forest should keep that in mind. When I see the damage the forest is doing with its machinery, then we bikers are an absolutely tiny fly that is hardly worth mentioning.
And the reason on the signs should then also apply to hikers.
And everyone who thinks they have to do the molley in the forest with their bike, think about it in the future, if that doesn't change, the molley and its bike will stay at home or on the bike path.So I had to breathe a littleLg Steffi

I am completely with you. Consideration is the measure of all things. You shouldn't close all roads.

    Hello Jürgen and Steffi,
nice tour, great Adebar photo 😉.
What a pity! In Bavaria, therefore, the legal situation has been completely changed - whoever wants can block after prior agreement with the office. But it reads as if it were very easy - so again "against us".
I see it exactly the same way. In the meantime there is already a lot of communication taking place if you read the BIKE reports, YT and some podcasts (Jasper Jauch seems to be providing a lot of clarification). Even the DAV has created its own position for this. With us?
But the bike scene doesn't seem to have any advocates here. Or you really ONLY have the hikers in Kirkel in view.
Three times a shame for you, because it is apparently "at the door". Do you have to switch to the trails after HOM? I save it then, go to HOM or Freisen 😍, as often as time allows.
We are curious how it goes from here.
    Regards Ho

HoRadelt is right ... it's time to show our side around here.
Kirkel was really great for a quick tour in front of the door. 🙂
Only Homburg remains. Hope it doesn't start there soon. ☝
In Saarbrücken, the public order office recently received a few at the end of the trail. So just driving the trails for luck can cost your wallet
I understand that certain trails are blocked out of respect for the hikers, but blocking all of them is really tough. 😩

    Oh 😧 how nice!
That's horror! You don't need it either. Do you know if the trails were officially closed?
Especially in SB, however, the people from Trailnetz_Saarbrücken are in the process of having trails legalized there - and have even received support from Trek since last year!
You guys are heading towards pure, too, but it's still a shame!
I think training is only possible with something official, a club, etc. But somehow I don't know where to go.

I don't think they were legal. The forest has been blocking them all the time with red flutter tape or laying trees across.
Yes, I am in the group of the Saarbrücken mtb club
They have already called out a couple of times that what is locked cannot be driven, something that would make their work more difficult.
Here we are again with the black sheep that we also have and that just do it without thinking.

That's true. And that doesn't really have to be the case, because in the end we all suffer from it.

Axel really .... since when there too ???? Menno

Hello Axel, oh no 🙈, since when?
Here, many (Jürgen & Steffi, Katja, eli, ...) shared such beautiful tours that I actually wanted to do - especially because of the landscape with its limestone rocks. I can probably save that - too bad !! Then it’s more towards pure (IGB), Freisen again or - thanks Axel for the tip - to Birkenfeld, Oberhambach.
If you are only allowed to drive the Saarland tours that are supported / provided by Outdooractive, Komoot unfortunately loses its appeal: if you follow something up, you may end up meeting the public order office 😱.

    HoRadelt it's really bad😩. I can't confirm that I'm Homburg yet.
You have probably blocked a few trails that ended in incredibly steep hiking trails or were too dangerous☝, since the responsibility rests with the forest, but all the others were still fully passable last week. 👌
