Chris Walk and Maike went for a hike.

Today I was on a short tour with Maike. I had new hiking sandals that I had the opportunity to try out on a wide variety of terrain - everything from asphalt to forest floor with mud to deep thickets with leaves, twigs and blackberries was there😹
But the sandals, quite simple Rieker, have passed their test and will certainly be used more often this summer Sommer
Maike's handicap was her advanced pregnancy, which we noticed especially uphill - yes, Darup also has "mountains", even if only mediocre low mountain ranges ...
On the way we found an alphorn, phew the bear, a (probably) buzzard in the air, and a deer was also seen at the edge of the forest, but it had disappeared too quickly. A nice sunny tour with zebras and donkeys and nice chat 😻 Thank you, Maike😻👍

    Thank you, Sarah😻
That was a short-term consideration because I am currently giving up long hikes with my neck, and I have not yet been to the Darup area. But it's a nice little round. The donkeys would definitely be something for your daughter too😻👍

You both did a nice lap 🤗. I'm for the donkey too 🥰. With hiking sandals through mud 😅. You can't go very well with it through tall grass. Although, then you immediately see all the animals crawling up on you 🙈. I brought home a tick on my leg from my lama tour 🤢.

@ Yvonn🦋: thank you, that was a little bit like forest bathing today
Maike had discovered the stump, I had more eyes for the rhododendron ... 🤣

Dear Jenny, the donkey was super trusting, almost let himself be petted in a trance ...
I tried the sandals in the short round, and in between thought how stupid. But: you can wash off dirt. I am, thank God, not a real victim of ticks, then I would have got quite a few on my pasture, like cats😹
But we took a break under an oak tree, and when the first caterpillars dropped down, I wanted to move on quickly. Last year I had EPS problems. At home I first took a shower including my hair and threw the things in the laundry ...

Everyone likes me somehow ... mosquitoes, mosquitoes, ticks and EPS 🙈. I just get itchy from the EPS. I can live with that. Others are worse off.

Yes, I was just itching, but I found that very uncomfortable😩
I'm positively amazed that you can walk so well with sandals, it's really an alternative, the soles don't smoke after a hike😹😹😹

That's true, however 👍. In summer temperatures it can get really warm on your feet 😉.
