What a beautiful and varied route through the Ruhr area. Over 150 kilometers in the green on narrow and wide paths through deep forests and idyllic valleys - without large cities and traffic.Thank you very much Jule_radelt for the really successful route. I particularly liked the high proportion of trails and made my mountain biker's heart beat faster - even if or perhaps precisely because many of the trails were still damn muddy. And for everyone who still wants to ride Spin Spark: if you drive over a wrapped fence and follow an undefined meadow trail that ends at a gate (see photo), you are probably wrong. Here it is worth looking for the right way in front of the wrapped fence - opening the gate was not that easy. Well, and the path that came from the left looked somehow more appropriate. 😉What else I learned:- in the Ruhr area, equestrian sport seems to be more popular than cycling,- People like to mow the lawn here on Saturday mornings and- it is really very hilly in the Ruhr area. In the end it was 2,640 meters in altitude -
at least according to my Garmin Edge 1030 (a little more than stated on komoot).
Last but not least: Has anyone managed to hit all the branches correctly on the first try? If so, respect! 😎

Ha ha ha, I also drove wrong on the fence you described. Only I didn't find the gate but came back after a long way. And, yes, there were a few more pitfalls under the branches.

I also stood in front of the gate and was yelled at by a very angry Achim emphatically that the private property was and the gate will remain 🙈 So in the interests of peace, I retreated and looked for another place to climb over the fence 😅
Otherwise I can agree with your description exactly, absolute recommendation! 👍

    👍
I also drove on the meadow and passed the rolled up fence beforehand. Then I lifted my bike over the fence because the other way looked really better. 😂😂
No, I had to turn around so often because I missed the branch ... 😃

😆 I also took the path across the meadow, it already looked so busy 🙈. But I got the gate at the end.
And yes, I missed a few branches.

Thanks for the description, makes you want to go to the Ruhr area. The tip about the fence is very helpful, with last year's orbits I lost many a quarter of an hour looking for the way.

Perfectly written report, could have been exactly my tour. Can confirm everything as well and am a little more relaxed to know that I was not alone in the process :-)

Haha yes. I also wanted to ask what happens to people who take their horse for a walk instead of riding it. While staring at her cell phone ...And no - probably nobody hits all the branches straight away. Even if the planner has no nasty intent behind it. The nasty creeping branches are always popular, where you only realize after 50 meters of altitude that it would have been the other way ... ^^

Oh yes, the fence (at 15.7 miles on the original route)! And the way across the field is now really overgrown. I didn't have to go all the way back, there is a hole in the fence halfway to the right way.
