👨‍👦‍👦We start in Langenscheid and after a few 100m we are in the forest on a beautiful, narrow, rustic trail. Fallen trees, lush greenery and the rustling of the Daubach, which is lower down, accompany us until we arrive at a half-abandoned courtyard and after almost 2 km we reach the Lahn valley. We are greeted by a historic, stylish brick archway that belongs to a railway tunnel⛩🛤. Here the tracks are only a few meters under the open sky before they disappear again in the next tunnel. When we arrive at the Lahn, on the other side of the Daubach, a small footpath leads us to the steep ascent over slate and limestone to the great viewpoint Hare Mauer✴. There is a bench here, we have a clear view of the Lahn valley and the railway tunnel. The path leads us further along the field. We pass a monstrous, newly under construction hunter's tree house and soon get back into the forest on a narrow path into the Daubach valley. Once in the valley, continue up the Daubach, always within reach. We pass the Altweiberhöhle (here you can also go in and stand in!) And cross at the old Nassauer Straße / former. Poststrasse the Daubach. Years ago the stone bridge (flood?) Was massively damaged and reduced accordingly. Once on the other side, the so-called Lubentiusweg leads us a good bit above the Daubach on mostly wide forest paths back to the starting point in Langenscheid. Nice round! 👍😊
