The northern Lechraintour takes you almost 50 kilometers through the different landscape forms on both sides of the Lech river. Partly directly on the water, then a little further away you cycle past barrages and extensive fields. It starts at the train station in Landsberg, so you can also arrive relaxed by train. Over the Lech you cycle into the picturesque center of the city and then directly along the river to the north. On the section to Kaufering, the Lech shows its wild side. From the dam wall of barrage 18 you can enjoy wonderful views of the mirror-smooth water and on an idyllic forest path you continue to the next barrage. A worthwhile detour is the romantic castle ruins of Halteberg. Afterwards you cycle on a new bike path to Scheuring and a little later the unique Asissi chapel invites you to linger. At Prittriching, the Lechraintour changes direction and you cycle south through the colorful cultural landscape of the “Landsberger Platte”. Through the shady Westerholz it goes back to barrage 18 - this time you don't cross the dam, but drive along the east bank of the Lech back to beautiful Landsberg.
