This tour takes you to the famous Neandertal. But the memory of our ancestors is by no means the only highlight that awaits you on the beautiful gravel circuit with only a few meters of altitude ...You start in Erkrath at the S-Bahn station, which you can reach very quickly from Düsseldorf (8 minutes by S-Bahn). But you can also start in no time from Cologne or Wuppertal - even without a car. After less than two kilometers you will drive under the A3 and a little later you will pass the German GIANT headquarters. If you're on a GIANT gravel bike: Here it comes from! It continues: a short stretch of road, then the route bends into the Neandertal and follows the course of the Düssel on beautiful forest paths and isolated trails. This passage is really a gravel dream! It spits you out in the tranquil town center of Gruiten, where you can treat yourself to a coffee in the midst of the idyllic half-timbered house. You will also find out in the further course of the tour that the area here is ideal for graveling: Whether the Hilden city forest, the Ohligser Heide or the beautiful paths that connect the Oerkhausee, Schlupkotensee and Elbsee - this is where you really get what you're looking for Costs. Through the Eller Forest and finally along the Düsselauen you come back to Erkrath and can relax and take the S-Bahn home. The perfect bike for this tour:GIANT Revolt Advanced or Liv Devote Advancedgiant-bicycles.com/de/bikes-revolt-advanced-2021liv-cycling.com/de/bikes-devote-advanced-2021
