“We are always available for old castles and walls. The Laufenburg is literally the highlight of the hike around Langerwehe. In the beer garden of the castle there is delicious home-made blackberry wine, which allows us to tackle the following descent with unexpected exhilaration. "How about a little Eifel feeling today? Then this eleven kilometer lap from Langerwehe is just the right lap for you. It starts on the station square. You're making your way out of town. The route climbs gently uphill to the Hülsenberg. We continue past several monuments of the imperial era - there is a lot to discover. You cross the district of Heistern and shortly afterwards turn left.It continues in a varied way: You walk past the parish church of St. Katharina and on to the Orchelsweiher. How about a short break here? The pond is beautifully bordered by the dense forest, a secluded spot. Now it is not far to the impressive Laufenburg. It is worth exploring the beautifully preserved and well-tended knight's castle from the 12th century - including a glass of blackberry wine in the beer garden. After your excursion into the Middle Ages, you head back through the forest to Langerwehe - your head full of new impressions, lots of nature and a generous portion of the Eifel.
