Start of the tour in Schollach (parking at the church or behind the Bürgersaal)
Right at the beginning a decent climb and then the challenge!
Due to the timber industry, the forest road is in extremely poor condition. Deep water-filled trenches and several fallen trees that make it almost impossible to get through!
Later then often tarred or gravel farm roads.
On the plateau above Schwärzenbach you have a wonderful view of the Alps.
They seem close enough to touch. The Feldberg with its snow-capped summit is also wonderful to look at.
We cross different valleys again and again, pass the Heiligenbrunnen (chapel and associated restaurant) and reach Breitnau, a small, beautiful holiday resort located on an open high plateau with a gigantic panoramic view.
Further up, the view becomes clear towards Freiburg, the Rhine Valley and the Vosges. Over the Thurner we get to the federal road B500, to which we have no alternative for one
have to follow a few kilometers. Then you get back on forest paths for the rest of the tour, which, however, are difficult to drive due to their poor condition.
All in all, demanding MTB tour with constant ups and downs, unfortunately for my taste in the middle section with too few narrow forest paths and trails. However, the round impresses with an infinite number of gigantic views that are always new.

Nice tour in my area😀 Incidentally, this is the Judas Thaddäus chapel on the Reitsattel between Roturach and Engenbach and built by my friend Roland Kienzler.
