For almost 15 kilometers, this round tour takes you to historical buildings, special plants and great views. Our tip: the Weidenpalais in Rheder.You put your backpack on your shoulders at the church in Rheder and then leave civilization behind you for the time being. It goes straight into the region of the Teutoburg Forest. You take a look at Rheder Castle through the majestic castle park. Shortly after the following pipe sign, turn left and hike the next few kilometers through untouched nature.In the small town of Gehrden you can take the path through the water nature trail and climb the Rosenberg behind the town via the Kreuzweg and take a look at the Katharinenkapelle. You will make another stop later in the village of Siddessen and take a look at the church.You will complete the last section of the tour accompanied by the Nethe and then the Mühlengraben, there you can look at an impressive fish ladder before you visit the special Weidenpalais in Rheder as a special highlight almost at the end of the tour. The Palais is a popular wedding venue and is just a beautiful piece of nature.
