If you want to connect Munich and Rosenheim with a bike tour, the beautiful Mangfall bike path is ideal. You can take the train to Munich - it only takes half an hour - and then cycle to Rosenheim or the other way around. The route runs largely on small back roads and varied field and forest paths as well as along the beautiful banks of the Mangfall. The route starts in Munich at the Ostbahnhof. In the Ostpark you get to the bank of the Hachinger Bach, which accompanies you on beautiful paths a bit out of the city. Now it goes over roads to Ottobrunn, behind which you cross a forest. This is followed by a section over fields, through forests and smaller towns, until you finally come across the Mangfall in Feldolling. The picturesque river bank will take you to your destination in Rosenheim. On the way you have plenty of opportunities to make yourself comfortable with a picnic in a nice spot right by the water or to stop in a beer garden along the way.
