Innsbruck planned a hike.

The Mieminger Range to the west of Innsbruck is a compact mountain range of exceptional beauty. The mountain range runs parallel to the Wetterstein Mountains and has always been somewhat in the shadow of its famous neighbor - fortunately, because this makes the landscape of the Mieminger range particularly unspoilt and natural. The ascent to the Wankspitze is perfect to warm up for more hikes in the mountains. The top is relatively easy to reach and along the way you will pass a cozy mountain hut and picturesque larch forests. The starting point of the hike is the Arzkasten hiking parking lot. From here, a signposted hiking trail leads you along the Sturlbach to the Lehnberghaus. Here you first walk on a wide gravel path and shortly afterwards on a natural walking path. If you wish, you can stop it in Lehnberghaus for a break during the ascent.About a kilometer from the Lehnberghaus, the viewing platform Lacken offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Mieming plateau. Now the path becomes noticeably narrower and, shortly before the summit, also steeper. Over the south ridge it eventually goes to the cross at the top, where you will be rewarded with a beautiful view. From the top it is the same way back into the valley.
