The Kramerspitz (1,985 meters) is the demanding local mountain of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and towers over the place, directly opposite the Zugspitze. The tour requires surefootedness and perseverance, but you will always be rewarded with beautiful views. You start at the Bayernhalle and first walk on the Kramerplateauweg. On the small platform Felsenkanzel you can enjoy a wonderful view of Garmisch and the Zugspitze massif. Now it is steepening. The path becomes more exposed and through Schrofen terrain you come to a narrow ridge. Here you can catch a first glimpse of the summit. But don't get excited too soon. It is still a little way to the Kramerspitz. You leave the spectacular Wiesengrat to the summit again on your way, because you have to cross the slope below the secondary summit of the Kramerspitz. Then you finally reach the promising summit. After this great success, you've earned yourself a refreshment. Lucky, because your descent takes you over the Stepbergalm. You will arrive there after about an hour. Later you descend via the Stepberg Alpensteig, the Kreuzweg and the Kramerplateauweg and get back to your starting point.
