Today we were finally back in the Harz Mountains ... even if a single day trip can of course not replace the Easter holiday in Wernigerode. It started at the parking lot of the Sösetalsperre. It was clear that at first it would only go uphill for a good 10km. Well, what don't you do for a few stamps in the stamp book. There were 3 today, with the third being a wandering stamp box that only stood by the reservoir until today.
On the Höhenweg (Ackerfastweg) we struggled a little with snow and the mud underneath, so we enjoyed the snack at Gasthaus Hanskühnenburg, which is closed on Thursdays 😏 fortunately due to Corona
The descent went on paths then to the rear end of the reservoir and then along the lake.

Great tour. Thanks for the pictures. I wanted to go up on the bike at the weekend. I'll postpone that because of slush.

Hello. Like. The path at the dam has been pretty damned by harvesters.
Hanskühnenburg is always a great A

    Thank you 🙂
Michael, I would actually wait. And as Thomas rightly says: it is better to avoid the path at the dam by bike, as everything is very kneady due to the forestry operations.
