The tour begins at the S-Bahn station in Fellbach. After the village of Stetten, the sand castle is waiting for you in the middle of the vineyards after a steep, paved ascent. To be able to enjoy the fantastic view, you have to push your bike a short distance through the plant protection area at the sand castle. On dreamlike gravel paths you continue through the Schurwald until you come to the Reichenbach after the village of Hohengehren. You won't meet many people here even on the weekend and you will find plenty of shade on hot summer days. Thanks to King Wilhelm I of Württemberg, who bought around a pound of sequoia seeds in 1864, you don't have to travel to California to admire the mighty trees. After about two thirds of the tour, you can see one of these specimens up close at the Schlösslesseen.A detour to the core tower follows. The 27 meter high observation tower offers a great view of the Remstal. On a clear day you can even see the Odenwald, 79 kilometers away. Also on the Kappelberg there is another fantastic view waiting for you before you cycle through the vineyards back to Fellbach.
