At the Oberaichen S-Bahn station you start the tour in the direction of Rohr. At the Schmellbachtal hiking car park, a beautiful forest path leads you out into the countryside. On wide gravel paths it goes on to the Sulzbach, which you cross on a bridge made of stones. After the Sulzbach flood retention basin, you will pass a colorful tree house hotel, probably the most original accommodation in the greater Stuttgart area.We continue to Dettenhausen, where Café Mieze invites you to take a break with homemade ice cream. If you want to do an extremely long tour, you can branch off here on the Schönbuch route towards Tübingen and combine both tours as an eight.Everyone else is now driving through the romantic Schaichtal, which tends to take you downhill to Neuenhaus. Here you will pass a spring where you can fill up with water. This is followed by the Siebenmühlental, which is particularly popular with walkers, cyclists and inline skaters when the weather is nice and on weekends. That's why you switch to the gravel variant here, which, however, also contains a few robust trails. You may be pushing a short distance here. Before going back to Oberaichen, it is worth making a detour to the Eselsmühle. There is not only freshly baked bread here, but also delicious homemade cakes and - as the name suggests - sweet donkeys. From here it goes back to Oberaichen on the main path of the Siebenmühlental.

    Great tour!
Today only a bit too muddy in one place or another for my 35mm tires ...
