What a route!! “A Day In Hell” is Rapha's annual ode to Paris-Roubaix. 😈 Rapha AMS together with Martijn Sargentini (of the book 'Over Kasseien en Kiezelstenen in Nederland') has stitched together the finest local gravé possible, using bridleways, byways and little-used lanes, to get our own Queen of the Classics experience. Its a challenging route of undeveloped paths - full of potholes and the unexpected. With pitiful fields of desolation, the finest bridleway, byway, gravé and cobblestones available.****I didn’t know there were so many new roads around Amsterdam I had not been on before - hike a bike within 1 km of Amsterdam is unique! And. so. many cobble stretches. First taking us through the rolling hills of Northern Holland’s dunes, to the famous cobbles around Alkmaar. Heading up to The North direction of Afsluitdijk? Long. Long. Long Stretches out in the open, through Dutch polder and strong winds.Together with the shitty weather? Snow, rain, hail and sun all on the same day - it's been a real Northern France experience. 🌨💦⛈☀️⚡️.THANKS RAPHA AMS!!Things to Note:* All routes have been test ridden and are designed to be 28c passable. However, definitions of this may vary, and you undertake to ride any route at your own risk.* Many of these routes will include Cobbles, cobbled climbs, Gravel, bridleway and another such unpaved terrain. Please study the route and familiarize yourself with any tricky sections.* Please make sure you are self-sufficient on the road, high chance of flatting.* Please be considerate to others on paths and bridleways. Many of these are shared use.* Please do not ride in groups which exceed local Covid-19 Restrictions* *Footnote:'gravé' - defined as "(an area of) farm track/road/footpath/bridleway etc. which consists of potholes, loose paving, stones, rubble, and mud."
