After two successful orbits, Carola still hadn't had enough, and Pino the rabbit wanted to finally be back on the streets for Easter. So on the last day of the challenge we packed our things, didn't even take a close look at the weather report, and started at 7 in the morning with rain and a tailwind. Of course, it's a bit slower with the rabbit, but difficult sections are a lot of fun together. The back tour on the north side of the Elbe with a lot of tail wind and only a few showers allowed us to make good progress, and shortly before 11 the ferry Hitzacker-Bitter was reached. At the latest, the waves on the Elbe and the diagonal direction of travel of the ferry made it clear that we had not chosen a good day for the way back. Wind speeds of up to 75 km / h, plus repeated sleet showers, twice heavy snow drifts and sometimes white speeds in the single-digit range over a few kilometers were exhausting.
Behind Hitzacker we struggled comfortably up the Kniepenberge, the Pino actually only has such passages as a small weakness. Until Bleckede we managed to hide from the wind again and again, then we went over open fields and meadows, the cut sank more and more. A few small relief sections at the height of Hohnstorf lifted the mood again before, after a short sunny break, within minutes the sky was black and the snow shot horizontally over the field in front of us. Happy who has buff and sunglasses so that he can at least see the way a bit. Then "only" along the dike, always against the wind, to Hoopte to the Zollenspieker ferry. A great, very exhausting tour and hopefully a worthy Easter orbit.
Nice route, ferry Hitzacke also an experience. thank you for sharing
Ahhh next tandem ride. Mega :)
Old butterfly, you were sh ... fast for the wind
Wow, tandem, cool. Ridden hard 🤙👍🤘💪 and extra points for the weather. (It is snowing heavily as I write this). I imagine as a step up from Duo.

So #rideFAR has been extended so that the rabbit can ride at the right time. Wonderful action ♥ ️ Also like the reports from both sides. You die-hard people!
Thanks Eva, thematically it was just great 😊
Wow, that's a variant. With the strength of the four calves ...Very nice! I dream of a Pino rabbit because I hope to get my non-bicycling wife rolling with it. I guess you sit comfortably in the front even on longer stretches, don't you?

Hats off you 2, really strong tour! 😎👍🏻💪🏻
Moin @mbm_DU, I can only report from my own family, it was the same with my parents. My father drives brevets with him, and my mother never rode a bike. After a short period of consideration you bought a Pino rabbit (after which we already had ours) and drove about 3000km with it in the first year !! They don't swap places like we do, but in the front all the disadvantages you have on a normal bike are eliminated, no seating problems, you have your hands free, you can enjoy the landscape and you are always close to each other. They enjoy it a lot. So just go to the Hase dealer and take a test drive, it's worth it. :) If you have any other questions, feel free to write, it's an unusual bike after all.

Thanks for the info, Ole! That is exactly how I imagined it to be. And with the special loading option, it can almost also be used as a cargo bike. I think I'll take a closer look at that.
