Fürstenberg - Ruppiner Seenplatte mit Besuch des Weihnachtsmanns 🎅
Bike Touring Highlight
Ducky went for a bike ride.
March 31, 2021
Today started with 27 ° C when starting the ride and increased slightly to 29.7 ° C (measured on the bike) with constant sunshine and a pleasant warm breeze. In short: It was a perfect summer day and I took the opportunity to ride with shorts for the first time.Shortly after the start, I landed at the Ravensbrück memorial and the concentration camp behind it. Even with the gates closed, a lot of the past could still be felt, as the outdoor area was accessible from one side. And that was exactly the problem: Komoot thought it was a good idea to leave the premises via the side entrances. However, due to the pandemic, these were all closed. And so I had to turn back. Probably would have been a better idea anyway. In any case, I was the only one far and wide (once again)! 🙃If other people are looking for Easter eggs (everyone does that somehow at this time) I thought to myself, I should just visit Santa Claus. Crazy idea? So just right for me. 🙃Since Himmelpfort seems even more dreamy than usual without tourists, I ended up standing in front of Santa's (open) room and was even able to take a look (and take a photo). Once again the child in me was awakened.Since I was alone here again, it didn't take long and I got into a conversation with a Himmelpforter and shortly afterwards I got a small exclusive tour of the place. The ruins of the monastery are currently being renovated (ideally without tourists) and normally you could eat something and stay overnight in the "guest house" (right behind it is Santa's room), but not at the moment.I can recommend the tour itself for everyone, as it is very varied and the paths are good to very easy to drive on. Apart from some country roads in bad condition. However, from kilometer 48 I had an undiscovered planning error, so that the path suddenly ran very originally through the middle of the forest. Did I say away Now it was more of a forest path, where I had to aim for the exact direction again to see the way. The forest and the path sometimes blurred. Followed by an up and down. So I mostly had to work on the first 5 gears on this passage (out of 30).If you have fun with it, you are welcome to try this. It's only a short distance anyway (to kilometer 55.8. The picture, by the way, shows part of the distance covered. For everyone else, I recommend that you simply continue straight down the Strechlinsenstraße from kilometer 48 onwards. That would be more convenient. All in all, I took it easy today. The weather was just too nice, the wind and the sun too pleasant and the abundance of water always invited us to stop and pause. Therefore more of a pleasure group! One or the other café and restaurant (usually) take care of the physical well-being on the route. If you like, you can always cool off in one of the numerous free swimming areas. But that was a bit too fresh for me today. At least as far as the water temperature was concerned.
Christmas at Easter, good plan 👍I was exactly on the route at Easter two years ago when I did the Havel cycle path tour. Was my first experience with a multi-day tour. It was nice. At that time I wrote the headline ... Santa Claus on Easter holiday 🐇🐣

Very nice and interesting tour! 👍
Great tour, nicely described and nice idea. I will remember that!A question. When I click on the map to see where you are, everything turns gray and you cannot see where you have traveled.Do others have the same problem?
Sorry, I was too hasty with my question. Komoot has fixed the bug. Just read it. Simply empty the cache, then it goes again.
@ WATCH OUT: Thank you very much@Cora: Thank you very much.Nice that your card problem was solved.
