Today's tour takes me to the Walkersbacher Tal on the hottest March day since the weather records began.
The start is a parking lot on the left behind the Weitmarser Sägmühle. From there, the Walkersbachertraufweg leads up on the left side of the valley to the Flößsee. From there we unfortunately have to walk directly on the state road for a short time to the village of Walkersbach. In Walkersbach, in the center of the village, a path branches off sharply to the right in the direction of the sports field. Then it goes uphill on the other side of the valley past the Haselhof. The path is unfortunately getting steeper and more sweaty - that goes on until shortly before the Haghof. At Haghof we turn right onto the footpath parallel to Landestrasse. Unfortunately, this section is not that great - as the road is very busy. Shortly before Pfahlbronn we turn right to the Petershaldenhof. From there we roughly head in the direction of Strauben. On the horizon you can already see the Kaiser Mountains of the Swabian Alb. However, we do not follow the small driveway directly into the village, but go right into the forest. There we come to Straubenblick. In the middle of the forest there is a beautiful view of Strauben. Shortly after this point, a narrow path branches off to the left to the Hohlen-Fels-Klinge. The detour is worthwhile. We return to the Walkersbach Valley via the Metzelhof. Cross the road and turn left and we are back at our starting point.
