This round takes you deep into the UNESO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley. Numerous castles line the steep slopes. At the beginning you take the ferry to Bingen and quickly reach the Rhein-Nahe-Eck, where the Nahe flows into the Rhine. Now you roll a long way down the river on the excellent Rhine Cycle Path. You will quickly notice how the valley is getting narrower. Opposite are the vineyards of Assmannshausen and the steep slopes of the western Taunus. You pass the famous Rheinstein Castle and the towns of Trechtingshausen and Oberwesel. There are always beer gardens and ice cream parlors on the entire banks of the Rhine for a break. The ride on the Rhine Cycle Path can be enjoyed completely car-free. Behind Oberwesel you drive through a gentle loop of the Rhine and suddenly it appears in front of you: the Loreley, probably the most famous rock in the entire Rhine Valley. Don't let the sight of them throw you off your feet, but rather stop and enjoy the view. After all, according to the legend, some of them before you were dissuaded from their course. In the café right on the bike path you can enjoy the view of the famous rock over coffee and cake.Shortly afterwards you will reach the picturesque Sankt Goar. It is time for a second ferry crossing, this time to Sankt Goarshausen. Now you follow the Rhine back south on the other bank and discover completely new perspectives and castles. With Lorch, the flat rolling is over and you will be challenged again. At the end of the tour there is a long, steep climb waiting to be conquered by you. You will be rewarded for your efforts with a speedy descent that will bring you back to the heart of Rüdesheim.
