Coastal hike at Cala Refaubetx to the Cala Figuera lighthouseWhile hikes to the Cala Figuera lighthouse usually begin in Portals Vells (see our hike "Mallorca: From Portals Vells to the Cala Figuera lighthouse (# 03_R)" - komoot.de/tour/277786559), this hike opens up for us the other side of the coast to the lighthouse. The hike first leads us through the former military restricted area of El Toro to Cala Refaubetx. Today we are fully focused on enjoying the beautiful coastal landscape with its wonderful views, its diverse vegetation and the goats that roam free.In our opinion, the exploration of the former restricted area should be done in a separate tour (see our tour "Mallorca: Lost Places - El Toro Bunker (Bateria Refeubeitx E-2)" komoot.de/tour/325674637 ).Always along the coast, the path leads us to the watchtower at the Cala Figuera lighthouse, our turning point today. On the way back we make a detour to Punta del Toro, the promontory protruding far into the water with its beautiful ridge. This section is also ideal for sunsets (see our short hike "Mallorca: Sunset at Punta del Toro" komoot.de/tour/279959518).

@ Burkhard: Thank you very much. I can understand you very well, Burkhard. The combination of the sea air with the intense scent of the vegetation is a wonderful addition to the intense colors ... and with the many beautiful motifs you sometimes have to hold back in order to keep the hikes within reasonable limits.
