This easy round takes you to enchanting natural areas along the northern city limits of Haltern am See. The alternation of clear lakes, shady forests and small towns offers something for everyone. From the train station in Haltern am See you cycle directly to the nearby shore of the reservoir. With a view of the glittering surface of the water, you follow the path through the West Bank Park to the sailing boat harbor. There you keep left and cycle through wide fields to Sythen. If you want, you can take a detour to Sythen Castle before continuing to the Silver Lakes. The beautiful lakes near Hausdülmen were created through the extraction of quartz sand and have shaped the landscape ever since. Between the Kettbach and smaller fish ponds, you cycle further west and after 17 kilometers you cross the motorway. You quickly leave the traffic behind you and follow the route to the Torfvennteich, which is located in the White Fens reserve. The Hülstener Weg takes you along the Venn to Klein Reken, where you will find some places to stop for a break. With new strength it goes into the hilly landscape of the Hohe Mark. You cycle up and down through the wonderful forest area, for some inclines you can use some electrical support. At Waldbeerenberg you reach the highest point of this tour and from there whiz down to Haltern. Before you go back to the train station, it is worth visiting the picturesque city center.
