This extensive round tour takes you through a varied landscape along the city limits of Haltern am See. A few climbs await you on the 88-kilometer route, which you can master in a relaxed manner with a little electrical support. The starting point is at the train station in Haltern am See, so you can easily get there by public transport. From there you cycle to the bank of the Lippe, which meanders through the landscape in countless turns. Then you draw a bow around Lippramsdorf and after you have crossed Dülmener Straße, you dive into the forest. It goes up on shady paths between Galgenberg and Beusberg in the Hohen Mark, before you speed down to Klein Reken. It is already on the border of the White Fens reserve to Hausdülmen. With a view of the many ponds and lakes around the village, you drive to the Großer Teichsmühle, where you can stop in the beer garden. The Mühlenbach leads you to Sythen with its beautiful castle. After a tour of the castle, you cycle to the magnificent Haltern reservoir, where small boats frolic. Either you cool off here or you drive a little further to the Hullerner Reservoir, which is also ideal for a swim. Then you cross Hullern and a few minutes later you reach the idyllic Westruper Heide. In late summer, the heather turns into an impressive sea of purple flowers. After a section on the Wesel-Datteln Canal, a steep slope up to the Rennberg is waiting for you. At the Flaesheimer Baggersee, the forest climbs partly steeply to the observation tower at the highest point. Then you dash back down into the valley on the other side of the mountain, cross the Lippe one last time and are back in Haltern am See, the starting point of your tour.
