The premium hiking trail is characterized by wonderful views of Wolfach including the castle, the Wolftal and the elongated Kinzig valley. From Wolfach train station, it goes up to the first lookout point Käpflefelsen with its golden ball. Past the Gesundheitsbrünnele you hike through the fragrant forest to the highest point of the tour, the viewing platform at the Berghexenlandeplatz. The pavilion, which is just a few minutes' walk away, also offers you wide panoramas over the hilly landscape. On footpaths partly carved into the rock you will reach the Sankt Jakobuskapelle, a historical pilgrimage church in quiet nature. At the end of your round tour, you will walk through the Jakobswald into the picturesque city center, where you can now view Wolfach Castle up close.
