Green, greener, Reinickendorf! Away from the Tegel Forest, you will also find wonderful parks, lush green spaces and dreamy lakes in the north of Berlin. With this tour you get the right mix of city flair and park romance. For even more nature, you can combine the tour with Tour 5, which takes you around Lake Tegel. The starting point is the Bornholmer Straße S-Bahn station. If you arrive here for the cherry blossom, you can already see the pale pink sea of flowers from the train station. Of course, you can also take a close look at it, because the route takes you along the cherry blossom path directly through the magnificent avenue. Past the Bürgerpark Pankow you will soon roll into the largely natural Schönholzer Heide. The Soviet Memorial here is worth a quick detour.Along the railway tracks, the path takes you to the north ditch, which you follow for a while through a green corridor. Allotment gardens appear in front of you and open at the level of the Steinberg Park, in which even a small waterfall splashes. You cross the north ditch again and continue south. On your left you cycle past another allotment garden, drive into the spacious Rehberge park and make a quick visit to Plötzensee. You have already made over two thirds of the lap, so take a longer break here. You return to the starting point of the tour via Seestrasse. Alternatively, you can also head for the nearby Gesundbrunnen S-Bahn station.
