The Mosel-Saar region invites you to explore. The tour starts in the south of Trier and first leads to Konz, where the Saar flows into the Moselle. The Saar cycle path continues to Saarburg - don't forget to dangle through the beautiful old town! Shortly after Saarburg, you wind your way up a steady 5-kilometer ascent to Merzkirchen. After a few kilometers up and down, Orscholz makes a detour to take a look at the Saar loop - a postcard motif! In Perl you cross the Moselle bridge and stand on historic ground in the beautiful Moselle village of Schengen in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg: the Schengen Agreement was signed there in 1985 - the European Museum and the National Column invite you to linger. On the way back to Trier at the latest, you will feel like you're on holiday on the Luxembourg side. The right bank of the Moselle is easier to navigate from Grevenmacher. In the city center of Konz, the ice cream parlor Siena is worth a stop - the perfect reward after the tour!
