Gesine went for a hike.

With the weather today I had to do an after-work tour.At the weekend this area should be a bit crowded.Result: I was thrilled 👍👍👍Both the Rotbachaue area and the path along the Spechtsbach were so beautiful that I could have walked back and forth all day 🤩🤩, small paths that meandered through the forest near the stream and were sometimes only recognizable as a hint.Nevertheless, one had a "wide" view of the forest.Every now and then it went through a side arm of the stream, but no problem with sturdy shoes.I already knew the lakes from my tour on November 20, so I liked them better.Today I missed the birds, could also have been due to the time of day. There were also some broad connecting paths, as if drawn with a ruler, but didn't bother me. A small piece of road, about 250m to a motorcycle meeting point, in between was ok, but after that I had to be careful that I found the junction in the way, Figure 26.The Haniel dump was nice to end with a view of the Ruhr area. I really liked the downhill way of the cross, it also lowered the average pace, but if you are interested, you should take some time for it. It is a combination of mining history and religious or social texts.Overall, it was a nice and interesting route for me.
Great, interesting and exciting tour.
Hello Gesine, the photos look really great - I'll save the tour for myself. Thank you 😁
Your tour makes you curious about this area. Maybe I should do it sometime in the spring. Definitely more beautiful. 😊
Thank you Schrenki and Jingle Bells☺️I was amazed again how nice it is in the "Pott". I will definitely go the area again. Alone because of. of the two brooks with their paths😍
@ Rosalinde: I'll look at it again in the fall. With the color of the foliage, it should look great there too.
A great tour, Gesine, I did two tours in Haniel and the lakes last year. Actually, the round is recommended for every season of the year, but the weekend is very crowded (it's not an insider tip for a long time), and if the previous bad weather, especially on the dump, surefootedness is required, or sticks ...

@Chris Walk:I was the first, but not the last, time on the Halde Haniel and on the Rotbach, deliberately during the week😉.I did the lakes last year on another tour. The heap went well.Be careful, however, off the main path, e.g. B. my ascent, hip wg. of the MTBs.I wanted to go downstairs anyway. The other ways would have been life-threatening for me and the MTBs. They were just too fast and noiseless.
Yes I can confirm that. There were wild trails as early as 2010, and they are pretty rutted now. Sometimes you even have to be careful that the bikers don't dash out of the bushes. Sometimes there would be a traffic sign: ⚠️🚵🚵♂️🚵♀️, or something😹
Taken today in the most beautiful weather, 20 degrees in February are already worrying.Great tour with many highlights. However, I think, due to the proximity to several large cities, only recommended during the week, otherwise it is certainly overcrowded. On the dump we had to be very careful of mountain bikers shooting past. Not all are very considerate of hikers. Some think the heap is theirs alone. The view of the entire Ruhr area is incredible.

@ woki1508: I'm glad that you enjoyed the tour 👍🤗. Unfortunately for me it was a bit hazy. The Rotbachaue has to look great in the sun.Yes, the mountain bikers are dangerous.
