On this MTB tour you will discover structures from almost 3000 years of history ...
The cycle path takes you past the Freudenberg lock on the Main, built in the 1920s.
Continue through the historic old town of Freudenberg with its numerous half-timbered houses. Then it goes up the Spartakusweg, but shortly before the height the tour branches off and you get to the Freudenberg wind farm from the 2010s.
Historically, it continues on the Baden-Bavarian border until we come to the first trail of the tour, the tub trail. Not particularly long and no particular difficulties, this trail can be easily driven by anyone. The tour continues to the highest point in the community of Bürgstadt, the Wannenberg.
The Nibelungenweg leads to a Celtic rampart from the Bronze Age.
The route continues along the historic hiking trails down to the Centgrafenkapelle from the 17th century. If you approach this descent with open eyes, you will discover numerous

numerous remains from the heyday of local sandstone mining.
After the chapel, head for the Bürgstadt vineyards and the Franconian red wine hiking trail leads to the Stutz chapel above Bürgstadt.
Over a couple of small trails and another steep ascent we reach the Freudenburg from the 12th century.
Then it's fast down to Freudenberg and back to the starting point via the bike path. Have fun descending.
