A hike in the most beautiful spring weather through a wonderful landscape. There is a lot of nature here. Our path leads us along the fish ponds that still have an ice cover. Over the main road it goes again past the fish ponds into the forest. There are many paths here, the forest is mostly natural and changes again and again. On the way back it goes through heathland and then on the boardwalk with its nature trail. The typical moorland areas have formed on both sides of the Bohlenweg.
Even though it was a Saturday, this area wasn't really crowded. We always had stretches on which we were completely alone. Due to the often sandy bottom, there is little mud and when it does, it is easy to get around.
A landscape that is sure to exude its magic in every season. We will definitely be back soon.

I was up there years ago, but your tour description and the beautiful photos make you want to repeat that! Will be saved! 🤗

The first section at the ponds has no path for kommot. What about hiking there?

    Hello pv,
yes, there are no marked paths on this side of the road at Koomot. The path we walked is a broad real path. The way we walked, it says hidden at the beginning and turned towards the bushes, do not step on a sign. If you start at the other end of the path, there is only the usual sign for nature reserve. So just stay on the path and that's what we did.
