The round trip on the Milseburgradweg begins in Burghaun at the train station. You can reach this with the regional train from Bad Hersfeld in about 14 minutes. The Giant Store is only a stone's throw away from Bad Hersfeld train station, so you can easily stop by there before the tour. After you have swung on your saddle in Burghaun, you first cycle along the Haune and after a few kilometers you pass its impressive reservoir. A little later, the Haunetal- meets the Milseburgradweg. From now on you drive on the former railway line of the Biebertalbahn / Rhönbahn. At first it goes continuously uphill, partly through open landscape, partly through romantic forests. On the way you can always enjoy fantastic views over the hills of the Rhön.At the highest point of the tour you dive into the Milseburg tunnel. Over a length of over a kilometer, it leads you under the northern slope of the Oberbernhardser Höhe. Between the end of September and the end of April, the tunnel is closed due to hibernating bats. During this time you can take a detour. After you emerged from the dark tunnel, a long descent to the Ulster awaits you. You follow the river for a few kilometers and then make your way back to Burghaun, where you will reach the starting point of the tour at the train station. The perfect bike for this tour: Giant Explore E +
