Wine, foresight and pure gravel - that's the motto of this almost 50-kilometer tour. It leads up and down through the beautiful landscape of the Stromberg-Heuchelberg nature park and is quite a bit demanding. However, there are enough opportunities for short breaks along the way. Whether it's a wine bar or a lookout point - if you take it easy, you can master the long gravel loop with pleasure. The tour begins in the parking lot of the Wildparadies Tripsdrill, a wildlife park where you can visit many native animals. Right next door is an amusement park and the nature resort with cool overnight accommodations in construction trailers or in imaginative tree houses. If you are traveling with the family, it is definitely worth planning a little more time here. But now to the gravel tour. It starts wonderfully quiet in the middle of nature. Shady forests and the open hilly landscape alternate and ensure that it never gets boring. Again and again you come to great vantage points where you can enjoy wide views over the vineyards of the Kraichgau-Stromberg region. Speaking of which: On the way you always have the opportunity to try the specialty of the area for yourself. In the cozy villages along the route, but also sometimes a bit outside, various wine bars are waiting to spoil you with their fine wines. You should definitely not miss a “highlight”: The Baiselsberg is the highest point in the Stromberg and the short detour here is actually a must. A nice long gravel descent is your reward for the extra meters of altitude to the "summit" of the hill.Tip: If the starting point of the tour at the wildlife park is too remote for you or you prefer to travel by train, you can also join the route from Besigheim. There is a really good train connection here. After the tour, you can look for a cozy restaurant or a wine bar in the pretty town center of Besigheim and relax before you start your journey home.
