If you want to test your endurance, this is your tour! It has a lot of kilometers and a really crisp ascent - crowned by a wonderful view and a long descent. In other words: Black Forest at its finest for everyone who likes to be on the road a little longer and is not just looking for a short trail kick.It starts in the middle of Freiburg. Along the Dreisam, you will initially be very relaxed and warm. You leave Kirchzarten on the right and continue to Falkensteig, a small community in the lower Höllental. Here the route bends in the direction of "Berg". A long, sometimes quite steep driveway is now waiting for you. The destination is the Hinterwaldkopf, from whose summit at 1,198 meters you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Feldberg, the Schauinsland and as far as Freiburg. So up here at the latest, it's time for a nice break. If you don't have your own provisions with you or if you're after something hearty in between, you can stop at the Höfener Hütte after about two-thirds of the ascent. It is said to have the best dumplings in the area and the view from the terrace is not to be sniffed at.After you have strengthened yourself and rested, you stay at "cruising altitude" for a while and roll over relaxed farm roads through the middle of the Black Forest. When you reach the Rinkenpass, it slowly goes downhill again. The descent is paved over large parts, but the landscape is all the more beautiful. So take it easy, let your eyes wander and enjoy the fresh Black Forest air that blows around your nose. The perfect bike for this tour: Giant Stance E + or Liv Embolden E +giant-bicycles.com/de/bikes-stance-eplus-2021liv-cycling.com/de/bikes-embolden-eplus-2021
