Similar to the day before, the second stage of the Main-Werra-Radweg starts with a steady, slightly uphill climb. You cycle past Schweinfurt along the Wern. It is a tributary of the Main and meanders through a pretty landscape, which is characterized by wide fields and meadows and loosened up by romantic woods. In Rannungen you will reach the highest point of the stage and from now on you will mainly cycle slightly downhill. On the well-paved bike path, your bike rolls almost by itself through the postcard idyll. After a while you will dive into the Münnerstadt valley. Here the bike path meanders through beautiful nature past shady forests. Following the valley you cross Münnerstadt and then drive on a flat route over the fields to Bad Neustadt an der Saale. Here in the stage destination there are various hotels, guest houses and holiday apartments available for you to stay overnight. You will also find a train station with connections to Erfurt, Meiningen, Würzburg and Schweinfurt.
