The third day of the Harz circular route is just as demanding as the previous stage. But you can also split this stage if you prefer to drive it over two days.To start with, you roll down from your hotel to Rammelburg. The castle of the same name is also located here. You then cycle along the banks of the Wipper to warm up before you tackle the biggest climb of the stage. It leads you up through deep forest, where you can enjoy the silence surrounded by unique nature.A long descent with small counter climbs then brings you to Großleinungen. It continues on the edge of the southern Harz, where you cycle alternately through wide, open landscapes, immerse yourself in wild and romantic valleys and cross deep green forests. On the way you will always come through sleepy villages with refreshment stops.About halfway you get to Uftrungen and a little later to Rottleberode. In both places you will find some accommodations, mainly holiday apartments, in case you want to share the stage here.Afterwards it goes through meadows and forests past the Iberg dam over a hill. On the other hand, open landscapes with unforgettable views and a new bike path with fantastically smooth asphalt await you. After this wonderful route you will reach the stage destination Bad Sachsa. Here you have a large selection of places to stop and stay overnight. You also have access to regional rail services at the train station.
