Angertal meets Kultur
Hiking Highlight (Segment)
Gesine went for a hike.

First of all: I wouldn't go on this tour again like this. But since in this case a hike should be combined with culture, I have accepted long-winded paths in some cases. Okay for this time of year, but otherwise a shame. If you want to save yourself that, you should avoid the detour to Ratingen as well as Gut Anger, it is a completely normal farm, and thus also save the associated detour via Ober- and Unterilp. The panorama cycle path is exclusively paved and dead straight. The word "panorama" probably refers to the fact that I could see from a distance where I will soon be walking. Views were the exception.I would start again at Schloss Hugenpoet. After crossing the main road, the path (footpath) from a parking lot felt pretty perpendicular into the forest. But it was easy to walk on and was really fun.As I said in Ratingen, you can look at the house-in-house, but then you have to accept the long forest path or forest road. After a while the Angertal came.Beautiful paths in great nature.I will definitely hike there again.Gut Anger and the associated detour via Ober- and Unterilp were superfluous and annoying. After I was finally out of town and under the railway line, it was really nice again.Landsberg Castle is also definitely worth it. Nice terrain and paths. If you like, you can park there in the parking lot on the street below, but it was much more crowded than at Schloss Hugenpoet.Behind this parking lot the way went to my car.So: Shorten the tour a little and thereby save asphalt would be my motto next time.
The photos look really great. You saw a lot there. I also find long stretches in a straight line totally boring and I sometimes lose the desire to hike. If there is also a large proportion of asphalt, I would be served for a while. You don't see that in your photos. Everything looks great throughout. 😊
Thanks. It was nice, apart from the long asphalt or dead straight forest roads.
@Silvia: I didn't even feel like taking photos on the stupid stretches, but it happens to me every now and then and I even shortened the tour by 3km.Funnily enough, those were the sections where I saw most of the people.
Then you now know how to avoid the crowds. Only go the attractive ways. 😍
Exactly, that is probably too strenuous for most or the shoes could get dirty 🥾😉
I've been doing this for a long time. Go as few main routes as possible.
Yes, but sometimes my tour planning is a bit too 🙊🙊 and sometimes I need it to walk quickly and just drop my feet without paying attention to the way. After that, I'm looking forward to sections like today at the start, so I'm just grinning 😁😁
Hello Cesine. In advance. It's a totally good tour. At least according to the picture series. I'm just amazed by your kilometers and the average. That's a lot and fast. Really really good. Congratulation. And then the great pictures. I especially think picture 37 “paper mill” is amazing. Today I was also at a former paper mill. Only in the Brilon district.
Why are you amazed at my speed and the length of the route?I have it more often, at least when there are not so many vertical metersI always find the old factories interesting.
I know Angertal and it's beautiful. You just knock out a 30 km tour. Respect! But there are always sections where you are a little disappointed. But you are still happy to stand in front of the mirror in the evening to say: Daily goal achieved.
