Kleinziegenfelder-Tal-Rundweg – Wandern im Obermain•Jura
Obermain•Jura planned a hike.
January 4, 2021
Look forward to a varied route around the Kleinziegenfelder valley with its unique landscape: blossom-rich juniper slopes, rugged rock formations and shady forests are waiting for you. It starts at the hiking car park in Kleinziegenfeld. A narrow path leads through the valley along the Weismain. To the Weihersmühle you follow the two blue towers on a yellow background, the "Gottesgartenrunde Süd". Now you change the side of the road and over the height it goes on the other side of the valley back to Kleinziegenfeld.Make sure you plan enough time, because there is a lot to discover along the way. Picnic benches and viewpoints invite you to linger and you can certainly watch the climbers on the towering rocks. With a little luck you will also meet the shepherd with his flock. The sheep and goats keep meadows and slopes free and thus create a habitat for the Apollo butterfly, one of the largest butterflies in Germany. At the end of the tour there is another real highlight waiting for you. The cyclist Claudius, who has been enthroned on his rock in the juniper heath for over 100 years and watches over the valley - a bit of Mediterranean flair in the middle of Franconia! Of course, there is also refreshment along the way! Have a look: obermain-jura.de/de/gastro/suche.
