Gesine went for a hike.

Since I couldn't decide between Hemer Felsenmeer and the Feldhof cave, a connection had to be made.Unfortunately, the first almost 7km are asphalt and concrete, a former military training area, and a village, but apart from the section on the Hönnetalstrasse without cars. The detour to the lookout point of the quarry is worthwhile, but the detour to Klusenstein Castle is not. It is because of Private property blocked, including a sign. Then forest, mostly wide forest roads, was announced. The Feldhof Cave is definitely worth it 👍. Take some time with you to look. After the railway bridge came a piece of mud. Be sure to tie the shoes again beforehand, otherwise they may get stuck. 😒The rest of the way, with the exception of the short town crossing (quiet residential area) just before the sea of rocks, is easy to walk despite some mud, no mud!
The week before last it was already muddy, especially where forests are being cleared and heavy equipment was in use. Feldhofhöhle is also on my note.
I already walked part of the "upper" area in the spring when the paths were still extremely dry.But in contrast to spring, there were a few cyclists and very few hikers up there this time.In the spring I was there completely alone.Concerning. Mud: afterwards it went in the upper area, it was bad on a section, about 200m, in the lower area.It was recommended that I take a headlamp with me for the Feldhof cave, then my hands are free.I can also only recommend 👍Of course you can also use the flashlight on your cell phone.
Thanks for the tip of the Feldhof cave!
