Schlösser und Halden, das grüne Ruhrgebiet
Gesine went for a hike.

After a forced break of 1.5 weeks 🧙♀️ I wanted to try out whether I could start again😉.So I chose a simple tour that had been planned for a long time, quit work early and go ...It went from the Hoheward dump via Ewald + See colliery, Herten Castle and Westerholt Castle along the Emscher back to the Hoppenbruch dump and the Hoheward dump.Unfortunately there were some road closures, which made the tour a little longer, 28 km were planned. The paths are mostly paved, but of course there was also the usual dose of mud and mud. 🥾Unfortunately there are short stretches of road.At sunset on the Hoheward dump there were disappointing clouds. The ascent to the Hoppenbruch heap is actually the mountain bike route. They are not allowed to drive there due to the weather. But it was easy to do on foot and I still had a few steep sections today.Overall, it was a nice tour that was easy to do despite the time of year and work.
Interesting tour in nice light and great photos. 👍🙂I hope the weather will give me some bright spots on Friday / Saturday so that another tour is worthwhile. 🌄
Thanks.Sun is registered here for Fri / Sat.I wanted to make good use of the two days 🤗
My dear husband, 31 km and then such a pace. Great tour! 👏👏
Thanks. I had to get rid of some office frustration and the sunset is z. A little early at the moment, so I didn't have the time for a break. The Herten Castle Park would have been ideal for this.
Nice tour, I've hiked everything in several tours. I think Westerholt is really cool.
I also got the idea of extending the tour to Westerholt from you. At least I think so 🤔Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to take a closer look at the place. But I will do it again. It's really nice there.
Great tour and great photos! And that with the speed - clean! You could have met #Deli Cat and #Gabriele Krüger by chance, who ran identical sections of the route yesterday as part of the Komoot relay hike ... 🤗

@ Udo: I've already noticed.
A great tour! I saved it directly. 👍Hats off to the speed and mileage - and all of that even after previous work! 👍

@Sarah: thank you☺️Since I was "only" sitting at the desk, my legs still needed some movement 😉Maybe you are lucky and the Resser Grenzweg is free again for pedestrians, then you can walk along the stream instead of the street.Do not try the shortcut through the allotment garden like I did 🙈. The gate at the back of the exit is locked 😔.
