The penultimate stage takes you into the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Beauty (AONB) and finishes in one of its prettiest towns.
To begin, cross the River Avon via Bidford Bridge, a scheduled monument and a Grade I-listed structure from the 15th century. You then hike southeast through pleasant countryside to Dorsington and continue alongside Noleham Brook to Giddings Wood.
The trail then cuts through Long Marston and continues to Lower Quinton. Here, the trail arcs into the Cotswolds AONB and heads southwest through pretty countryside to Mickleton. On the outskirts of the village, you pass St Lawrence's, a picturesque 12th-century church.
Next, this Tour climbs to see the Arts and Crafts-inspired garden at Hidcote Manor, one of the most influential gardens of its kind in the world. The detour adds 1.3 miles (2.1 km).
The stage concludes with a steady descent along footpaths and green lanes to the old wool merchants town of Chipping Campden, which has a reputation for having the most beautiful high street in England. Here, you find an excellent range of accommodation, plenty of places for food and drink, shops and other attractions.
