Take it easy on your walk around the Großer Arbersee. The start is the bus stop at the hotel, from which you take the bus to the Großer Arbersee. So you can be chauffeured directly to your destination. The wildly romantic circular hiking trail is designed to be barrier-free and therefore suitable for wheelchair users and prams. Along the lakeshore you can marvel at the impressive, rustic flora and fauna as well as read a lot of exciting information about history, origins and nature on the information boards. You only need about half an hour for a lap around the lake. But there is so much to marvel at, to experience and of course to eat that you can spend half a day or a full day at the lake. Just let yourself go and enjoy the beautiful, unspoilt nature in the heart of the Bavarian Forest. The swinging lawns, known as floating islands, are particularly impressive. You can find this on the western edge of the Arbersee. They cover about two hectares of the water surface and were created in the 19th century when the Arbersee was dammed by more than half a meter for the wood drift. In the process, bog covers detached themselves from the current lake floor and have been floating on the water surface ever since. In addition, the imposing, 400 meters steep Arberseewand with its small waterfalls and swamp hollows will cast a spell over you. The water lilies on the lake are also nice to look at and of course the dense forest that surrounds everything, which gives the whole sight a touch of Canada. You can stop off at the Arberseehaus and enjoy delicious, local specialties in Bavarian cosiness. Shortly before your destination, the bus stop, you can give in to your play instinct. Because here is a forest ball track, on which you can play extensively with wooden balls from the machine installed there.
