A beautiful bike tour through the Karwendel and the Blauberge awaits you today as the finale of our mini-alpine adventure and although this tour is quite long, it offers a great feature: it goes much longer downhill than uphill. In combination with numerous pastures, huts and a beautiful lake, we would almost say that it is a real pleasure trip. Of course, around 84 kilometers are not entirely without - but quite feasible as a day tour. You start from the Plumsjoch hut at the highest point of the tour and enjoy for the first time ten kilometers of pure alpine descent, which spits you out in Pertisau am Achensee. Here is a moment of relaxation announced. You follow the bike path along the lake shore, which is not particularly demanding in terms of driving technique, but is beautifully situated and permanently provides you with an impressive view of the lake and the almost vertical mountain walls. Pretty sure you have not often driven on such a nice asphalt road.Do not worry - it's offroad again. Shortly after Achenkirch, the route bends and you are again directly away from civilization. Beautiful trails lead along the south side of the Blauberge up to the Gufferthütte, which entices with a tempting menu for a long lunch break. It would be about halfway here, but it's just one of several opportunities. The Archduke Johann Klause and the Ackernalm are however much more rustic. From the Ackernalm there are still about 25 kilometers to the stage finish in Oberaudorf, but actually it goes from here, except for a few very short exceptions, almost only downhill. Enjoy again the alpine panorama and the sheer endless descent into the valley, which you can crown with a refreshing jump in the Thiersee, before you roll the last kilometers into the small health resort in the Bavarian Inn valley. From here you come super easy by train back to the starting point of the tour to Garmisch-Partenkirchen (and from there to Munich, if you parked your car there).
