The second tour of our mini-alpine adventure takes you from the Wetterstein into the Karwendelgebirge. Over 70 kilometers and around 2,000 vertical meters are already a challenge. Beautiful trails and great intermediate goals will inspire you so much that the effort gets into the background and you will experience a pleasurable day on the bike. For a very impressive experience, we recommend getting up early. How about a breakfast at sunrise in the middle of the Alps at 1,369 meters altitude? So the day will start ingeniously - especially the early morning hours in the mountains let you experience a very special atmosphere, which is simply priceless and let forget the early wake-up call immediately. If you start early, it's best to wind down the Windstopper jacket after breakfast, as the tour starts with a terrific downhill. Over ten kilometers of the finest downhill fun await you.Now it will be really warm for you for the first time when you crank up the beautiful but sometimes steeper trail towards the Elmau Alm. The cooling follows immediately: A nice descent takes you to Ferchen- and then to the Lautersee, so you have the agony of choice in terms of cool refreshment. Or is it more like a little strengthening in an urban environment? Then there is a stop in Mittenwald. The Upper Bavarian market right between the Karwendel and Wetterstein mountains is known for its colorfully painted houses and the impressive Alpine panorama all around. And for his violin-making history. If you fancy some culture - the Violinmaking Museum would be a hot tip.Well-fortified you are ready for the second part of the tour, which leads you through the beautiful Karwendel up to your nocturnal stay in the Plumsjochhütte. It is located at 1,633 meters altitude and is considered one of the most rustic and comfortable cabins in the Karwendel. Here is a rustic sleeping camp and Tyrolean home cooking for you. So far, there is still one or the other increase to overcome. Take your time, enjoy the great views and the beautiful nature - then time flies by and the Uphills are completely in the background.
