Great views of the Saale and exciting highlights such as the Saalleiten and Sandberge accompany you on your tour. You start in Saalfeld and drive over the Zeiss Bridge on the bike path to Röblitz. Before the tour branches off towards Uhlstädter Heide, you will see Ranis Castle on the horizon. A very impressive building!After a few kilometers on forest and forest paths you will reach the ruins of Töpfersdorf Castle. The castle was still in use until 1850. From here it is not far to the Saalleiten, an approximately two kilometer long and demanding single trail directly above the Saale, which reaches just before Rückersdorf - and runs absolutely idyllically along the Saale.

In Weißenburg you can visit the Weißenburg and take a break in the beer garden. Freshly strengthened, it continues rapidly on forest roads and simple single trails to Langenschade. Another ascent and descent over the Mühlberg and the Lindingberg finally leads you back into the valley to Remschütz and past the sand mountains. Then you drive back to the starting point of the tour happy and satisfied.
