As the name suggests, this circular hike is characterized by a fantastic mountain panorama. You can reach the starting point at the Laufböden lift station from Bad Ragaz with the mountain railways.At over 2,000 meters above sea level, you follow the wonderful winter hiking trail, which offers changing views of the Churfirsten, the Rhine Valley, the Graubünden mountains and the UNESCO World Heritage "Tectonic Arena Sardona". In a unique way you can see the thrust and folding of different rock layers that led to the formation of the Alps. There are boards along the way with useful information on this topic.Another highlight of the Panorama Höhenweg is the Wangersee, on which a glittering layer of ice forms in winter. We continue through the wonderful winter landscape to the modern Pizolhütte. Here you can take a break and let yourself be pampered with Swiss delicacies. Strengthened you hike back to the Wangersee and turn left there. Accompanied by a magnificent panorama, you walk on a prepared winter hiking trail back to the Laufböden station.
