Snow-covered landscapes, a rushing river and a cozy living room - what more do you need for a varied winter hike? The almost nine kilometer long Kammerl Runde takes you from the St. Franziskus Church in Saulgrub on a high path to the impressive Ammer Gorge. The round is marked by snowflake number 9.You stroll through the snow-covered winter world to Acheleschwaig and you can either stop at the inn there or save it for the way back. The path continues to the historic Kammerl power station and the nearby Scheibum, a massive rock face in the middle of the 600-meter-long Ammer Gorge. The river made its way through the rock thousands of years ago.At the Ammer rock breakthrough, you turn around and hike back towards Saulgrub. A stop in Acheleschwaig is now worthwhile at the latest. You will then find further options for warming up in your destination.
